Unknown coin

I was doing some medal detecting in Middle Tennessee, south of Nashville and I found this strange Coin. I am a Numismatist, and am usually familiar with the coins I find. I did some internet research and I can’t find anything about this Coin. Don’t know how it got here, but it is interesting. Let me know what you thing!

Size? Interesting lettering (first thought foreign/Spanish) , almost looks fired as AARC speculated.

Great Find! Really nice. The French traders were all over that area, trading with the Native People for deer hides, mostly.
