I got a new permission old road stopped being used in 1930s and found this it says "American inuector co" or injector, and has #2 on it and some letters in center im not able to see clearly looks like made of brass and has threads on other side i try to look on Google and eBay didn't find anything that looks like it appreciate any help id this item thanks
 

It could possibly be a axle cap.

American Injector Co. made drip oilers and greasers(grease cups) in the earjy 1900's. Used on babbitt bearing type machinery, hit miss engines. The item posted is a cap from a greaser.
