unknown brass thingy

Hello to all.
Got these two objects last week. The top one looks like a piece of a brass bell? Any comment welcome. Since it has some inscription I hoped someone of superior knowledge could identify it. The symbol in the oval section looks like a human outline. Thanks for looking.

Looks like an oil can..or perhaps an oil lamp base, and a great seal button.

The top one looks like the housing end of a flashlight. The bottom one looks like a great seal button from a ww2 uniform off a dress coat.

I'll go with very early oil cup. I have some about that same size.

The bottom object might be a saw medallion. Does it have a small shaft in the center of the back side?
