A friend of mine found these over the weekend. Anyone have a clue what kind of badge this is or the other thing?

I cant find it right now but the 8 point star piece was on this forum in last couple weeks...as I remember there was considerable research into it.

Wow that gold is shiny. Cant see it. Looks like a lion rampant on the shield. It something fraternal I guess.

They look Russian and the KP could mean Kremlin Police it's a long shot lol
Or they resemble high ranking military metals of war ww1 or ww2 perhaps
Just my thought hope it broadens your research ideas " )

Like Bigfoot1, I remember an 8-point "starburst/sunburst" badge being discussed on this forum recently. If I recall correctly, it was suggested to be a British Police "Bobby Hat" badge/crest. The lion-rampant is a centerpiece of the coat-of-arms of Scotland. So perhaps this object is from a Scottish Police hat, or something similar, perhaps military or fraternal. Or perhaps I'm entirely incorrect. I very rarely post guesses, preferring to stick to giving IDs that I'm sure about. Just trying to help this riddle get solved.

I dont see a K P but the knight and crossed axes does resemble the Knights of Pythias and I think thats what you were thinking bigfoot.
