the uss america was a aircraft carrier -- last used in the 2nd gulf war -- it has since been turned into a artifical reef

my vessel the m/v gus w. darnell supplied jet fuel to the uss america for use by its aircraft during the war.

Nice! Are both rings gold? That lighter is in good shape, for how old it is at the youngest even, and how long its possibly been there. Ivan, that is neat that your ship supplied fuel to a ship that Max found something that was attached to it. Ivan, you told me you were a chef, were you a chef on a military ship?

I worked on military chartered vessels * supplying ammo in the first gulf war ( S/S CAPE ANN - part of task force 155- and in the second gulf war , I worked on a jet fuel tanker ( M/V GUS W. DARNELL)refuelig the aircraft carrier "AMERICA" AS PART OF ITS "GROUP" as a us merchant seaman ( WE ARE NOT CONCIDERED "VETS" BY THE US GOVT BY THE WAY EVEN THOUGHT ALL THE NAVAL PERSONEL ON THE OTHER SHIPS in "task force 155" ARE --ITS A BS GOVT THING)-- I WAS chief steward (similar to a combo job of manager , baker .desserts maker , salad bar prep and general dept overseer.(do all ordering and dept payroll and paoerwork) ON THE CAPE ANN--- AND SERVED AS CHEIF COOK ON THE DARNELL.

the super carrier AMERICA WAS SUNK ON MAY 14TH, 2005 USED AS A TARGET * OFF OF CAPE HATTERAS
