Does it seem to be broken on what I guess would be the top? It is an interesting little piece. :)

You could clean a fish with that pretty quickly.

Scraper or possible gun flint?

Autograph collector - you need a better spot to collect. You have a good eye, but wherever you are looking, you keep finding this stuff that looks the same. Are you walking a driveway or a path or something? A lot of what you find looks like it has coincidental "edges" from being crushed or whatnot.

You can definitely spot the pieces that appear to have edges, and if you could get in a decent spot - you would probably find more true worked pieces than most people. You definitely have put in the time and the legwork.

Scotto I'm going to take that advice for myself. I've only ever hunted in our creeks on our property...and mostly just one spot. :)

I truly think what you have been finding is just derbitage at best. I say this based on the fact that everything you post seems to be the exact same material with little or no obvious use or form...just with what may or may not be work marks. Crushed flint gravel is a real thing and I have found many "points" along gravel paths.

It is a reduction piece possibly off a spall with secondary flaking on one edge therefore making it a tool. The over shot or big reduction flakes came from when it was on a larger piece being reduced down.
They utilized the knocked off piece. You will see this often when a good chert source is scarce and they will utilize all they can.
My opinion

p.s
They are correct that a reduction flake can have natural secondary work on the edge by say river tumble or being crushed will pop of the edges of worked pieces. But to me there is no doubt in it being a reduction flake if found here.

Knapping debitage. I picked up about 10#'s of the stuff last month just to show people all the different materials that was being used.

Tnmountains would you expect to find points in an area where you find a fair number of pieces like the one posted? I'm also finding a lot of similar items. Thanks for the great response to the op! Very helpful as I'm in the learning process :)

Yeah-the area is not trail based nor part of a road. These were found at the same site so there is a lot of potential there. The area produces cobble and chert artifacts.
