I dug this out of a thrift store. The ground is frozen here. The closest I could figure is a flare box. I would love some authentication. Thanks for any help. It is 11x3x8” Engineers lunch box? Ticket collection box? I do like be the patina! DB32E71C-15C1-4ED6-B733-C577AE915D07.jpeg

I like the idea of a brakemans box. They carried flags, fusee’s and torpedoes as a way of signaling! Thanks for the inputs!!!

I can’t resist old RR items! It was 24 bucks. My Grandfather worked for the Rio Grande RR. I will have a hard time parting with it, if I resell it. You never know what’s going to turn up at the thrift stores, or what you will find in the ground. I can imagine someone using that with the old coal trains!
