The material is interesting..but yes that is secondary pressure flaking along that edge. Nice little scraper.

Yeah the stone is unusual and very well worn...any ideas as to age? Found in SW Washington.

Without context its almost impossible to even venture a guess. Have you researched the area you found it in? That might help give some general idea.

Not wishful. Pressure :) no doubt a scraper. That very well might have been somebody practicing and learning. Look around the same place and see if there might be similar stone around.

Beach found...Chinookian area....HUGE variety of lithic materials in their took kit. Anything from obsidian to basalt to jasper to carnelian to you name it.

Nice to be sure however. Is there a certain time frame for uniface blades?

No those type of blades were used in all periods. Does look old to me though and a good example as well. Hope you will find a point and then we can help you ID your finds then. I am new here by the way, great finds. I am way south of you.

That is a great looking Uniface Flake Tool that was more than likely utilized as a Knife. I love these kinds of Tools and have a entire shelf dedicated to some of my finest examples.

nice piece
the one side looks like a side scraper or blade
the other side slightly resembles a spokeshave to me

OH YES YOU DID!!!!!!!............You have done gone and found you a scraper, And as very good one at that.....................HH

From Paleo forward that tool has shown up exactly like that. As good a find as any and like Steve said worthy of a shelf of its own. Nice find. A very good example.
