Depending on the size I think it could be a match for this coin from the 1600s - or something close to it.

The first question that comes to mind: How does a Spanish coin get lost near a Greco-Roman site in the Sahara?

The second: And are there MORE? :-)

Great ID, its 161? for sure not sure on the last number.

This is the question we should never need to ask as detectorist, things do turn up in the most odd places, you would do your nut trying to work out how.:thumbsup:

Spain attempted to conqueror and colonize parts of North Africa in the 1500's and 1600's. They were always trying to buy gold and raw materials from the West Africa area.
