Hello jmachulski,

That is a cool find. Could you do some closeups of the ends for me, please, and maybe a bottom of the feet view, too? Was there any context to go along with this?

Possibly a "trough vase" for flowers.

Here are the photos u wanted for the close up. Im still researching. As far as it being a table vase I have no clue. I'm sure it could be used for one.

Hello again, jmachulski,

Thanks for the additional photos. DCMatt, I believe, is on the right track. I was going to say windowsill planter / bulb grower...

I was wondering about the end with the nipplish looking protrusion, and if it has a hole, but cannot make it out from your photos.

How'd you find this?

good question Surf ,, i also wondered about the 2 ends , glass blowers are usually good about cleaning up there stobs after cutting them lose from the blow tube , so it looks like they were left for a reason ? decoration or a purpose i am not sure.

Anybody else have this problem?

Hey Bigcypress,

That must have been me. Sorry, I don't know how it could mess up the thread though. I can see the photo, though larger than I wanted. Try this one, perhaps more copacetic:

I dont know why it messes up the entire thread. Every post becomes off the screen including the OP on top..
This has happened on occasion in the past but I cant remember the solution.

I usually just ignore these threads because its too aggravating to scroll back and forth to read anything.

Hey Bigcypress,

I just removed the original photo. I hope that has cured the problem. Sorry to have discombobulated... There was no enlarging of the thread or difficulty in seeing anything on my laptop.

Better?

Yes that solved the problem. Its back to normal thanks.

It may only be happening with IE. I need to use IE to access and save my files.

If we combine Matt & Surf's ideas, we come up with a bulb trough/window sill vase also called an inline vase. The clear ones like yours often were used to grow hyacinths or crocus flowers. Since the diameter if only 2 1/2 inches, I would think crocus because the bulbs are smaller. It's Spring, plant some bulbs! :) Breezie

Per your question about the ends. There is no hole in the ends. Thank you all for your input. Ill dig deeper into old planters. As far as where I got it from. This PC came from my same bottle diggin site in sulphur louisiana. :)
