Hi,

Recently found this heavy- medium sized lead piece metal detecting. It has a capital letter A on the front with two circles on either side of it. There is nothing on the back. Any insight into what it could be is appreciated.

Can you give a little idea of the area you found it in, The woods, an empty lot, a farm field, a kids playground the area found can help with ID or eliminate some things.

With the scalloped edges I'm assuming it was meant to be decorative so it would have been something that was seen. Interesting piece.

Since it’s “A”, the first letter maybe you have to find the rest of the letters and it will spell out what it is ?

The way it is broken tells me it is not lead, maybe pot metal? Maybe a handle bracket for tub, bucket, etc size A??
