Flippin Stick n good luck :)
so i decided to brave the 100 degree weather, and some shine found my eye, all i saw was the unworked side, it was a large flake, somehow i knew it was gonna be a good one, i flipped it and its probally my favorite knife i have found yet. it curves beautifully and the edges have micro secondary flaking, that of a Folsom projectile, now im not calling this paleo, but the edge work reminds me of Folsom. My camera is having problems showing the edge detail.

Here is the awesome part, about ten feet away i found another fragment, and it matches the base of the knife, patinas are totally different, knife itself almost seems heat treated. but when glued together you can see how the whole original knife was worked, and when it broke the right side was reworked to a considerable ammount. "see lower pictures "

I love this piece, remends me of the super thin crowfield being offered, hense the material its made of.

What are the odds of finding the base and the other broke being reworked. I like it !!
Amazing :notworthy:

thanks tn, i think thats why i like it so much! ;D

W0W...now that is awesome! What are the odds.....Now the question is.....was it broken while being made, then reworked,or broken during use, then reworked ,(dang) ..then lost???Can't help but wonder..
Awsome find man...Kudos

Now how'd you know I would like that :icon_scratch: :laughing7:

It's part of a blade removed from a platter-like bifacial core. The curvature of it tells the tale (as well as creating a blade, it was thinning the core down). The bulb of percussion was at the tip.

Very nice, Chong !

Oh yeah! I like coming home from work, logging on here, and then going "Oh Wow!. What an interesting and educational piece. That had to be very exciting to find. Thanks for the input from Uni as well. :hello2:

Why didn't you play "find the point" with this one? :laughing7: That's a nice piece.

Unreal. Wow!
That's a story I'm gonna have to tell to others.
Bet they won't believe me.
