Detector(s) used
Nokta FoRs Gold, a Gold Cube, 2 Keene Sluices and Lord only knows how many pans....not to mention a load of other gear my wife still doesn't know about!
Primary Interest:
Prospecting
Had some extra almonds, so I set them out on the porch railing for the birds. This big jay decided to snag some, but he spied me with the camera about 10' away and flew back up to the rain gutter. It then proceeded to chew me out for a few minutes, then came back for another try. Same result, and you can see from the look on his face that he is not happy. I finally left it alone for a couple minutes and the whole pile was gone. :laughing7:

Funny thing is, the jay is saving them for winter, and is burying them out in the front lawn. The 'coons come by in the evening and dig 'em right back up.

Steller’s Jay? I love seeing those raucous birds! I only see them up in the mountains, never down by the house.
