ACE 250,Whites prism2
I am very excited to say I have been loaned an md it's a Bounty Hunter(pioneer 202) just until Wednesday night. So i have 3 1/2 days to find as much as i can in that time,I used it for about an hour around my place until it started to rain(i didn't wanna get it wet). But in that time i found 2 quarters 1 nickle,2 pennies(all newer clad),and 4 bottle caps. ;D
57 cents i was so stoked that it was working well not to mention what it was and the depth,so needless to say in the time i have use of it I am gonna hit as many spots as possible mainly the parks/beaches in my area.I know its not a top quality detector but for now it lets me indulge in the hobby, also i spoke with a guy who owns a couple of pawn shops and he will be on the look out for one and call me asap if he does.
I will post my finds(if i do find ;) anything) after i return the detector on wed. give or take a day, gosh I am excited and cant wait until the sun comes up.lol..Wish me luck and HH hunting all

Just wanted to add this note: I have 100's of acres of woods around here,do you guys suggest i stay out of them and just go to places where people gather to increase my chances or try and look in the woods a day as well?

With limited time you should maximize your findings buy staying where you KNOW people have been.

Or - If you feel adventurous walk a straight line for an hour into the woods, and then walk a different line back - if you start finding stuff you may have hit an area once used and can search around there for a while.

Or - Maybe you know where there was an old house/barn/picnic/outhouse/etc... area out there on that vast expanse and just go right there and detect.

Good luck!

Congrats dude hope you have fun digging and make some good finds. You are not going to want to give the MD back lol. HH,
Donny

It is easy to tell you've been bitten. Forget the pawn shops detectors as they may not work correctly and you'd have to send them in for repair for extra $$$.

Better to contact Tony at tcmetaldetectors.com Tony has helped many newbies with their first detector and some old timers too. It's better to stick with a new detector, at least for your first one.

Learn how to retrieve a coin or target without making a mess in the grass. Always carry out the junk you dig up too.
