I'm typing WOW! as loud as I can, great find!

Thank you everyone :)

Grats Seener, that is a great find, I found a jewelry item that was made for my great great aunt from a 5 $ gold piece(A monogrammed initial pin). I was actually showing my good finds to one of my relatives ( I actually didn't know what it was at the time but knew it was gold) and he related to me that it was a gift he had made for my aunt and how in 1939 he spent several full days trying to find it and how relieved he was that a family member had it , he had thought it was lost forever.

Thanks coinandrelicman, sounds like your 5$ was made into a love token. Common practice back then to smooth out 1 side of a coin and engrave it with fancy script. Can you post a picture?

Wow! What a find. Congratulations!

really makes me want to go back to all the old spots I've been to and dig all the old shotgun brass tones I skipped that bounced between nickel and IH.
