Sorry for the long post with lot so of pics but had to report this weeks finds. Last week three of us one of which was Btv digger who is also on this foram decided to go hit some of our standing permissions since door knocking is out of the question, we were hoping to squeeze out a couple of targets from fields that have been hit in the past we ended up having. Really good day with me ending up with my best condition seated dime to date and a bucket lister for me a vermont regiment button in really good condition. I also got an 1836 New York hard times token and two Indians and of course more buttons

No fast foreward a couple of days and me and one of the other buddies got to get out again and still had to hit some standing permissions, but one of them had a cellar hole that I knew had not been hit by us so we decided to hit that and then previously hit fields and luckily they all produced we both ended up with our first gw inaugural button and only feet apart in a farm field.
Unfortunately they were both bent and I do not know if there is a way of bending it back without ruining it, any suggestions would be appreciated. I also dug my oldest silver to date a 1726 one reals and another whipped two reales. I also got a stunning Tombac button, 1802 draped bust, a whipped Connecticut copper tons of buttons and a belt plate which any I’d would be appreciated

Really sweet hunt!
Need an ID on the outstanding buckle....

wow! Some awesome keepers for the collection. Like it all, the buckle is super cool. Congrats!

That buckle represents the fraternity Modern Woodmen of America.

Great finds!

Wow. Some really amazing stuff in there. That's one day of finds that some people spend a whole career trying to accumulate. Fatty indian head... flying eagle... small Spanish.. big Spanish... GW.... Belt plate. You might have a banner post here. I'm gonna throw in a nomination just from the sheer variety you have there.

Wow, you had quite a week! That's my kinda digging right there

Thanks as we all know this does not come together like this too often. My last fifteen coppers I could only id a couple of them and then the tides changed for a couple of hunts:occasion14:

Now we're metal detecting. Congratulations :icon_thumright:

Wow ... great finds - congrats !

I found the exact same "Modern Woodmen of America" belt buckle a few years ago.

Insane Hunt!
If I was you I would just leave the GW button as it is or send it to a real expert. If it cracked in half trying to bend it back I would be traumatized.

fantastic finds! I've seen a few of those Woodmen buckles posted on detecting forums in the past. From what I've read the organization was founded in 1883 and those buckles are evidently from the 1920's-30's

That would be a decade of amazing finds for me
and that's if I lived in the North Eastern U.S. ! I would be ecstatic to find the 1802 DB , the Flying Eagle !, and the Seated in that condition !!! Outrageous quality finds !!

Very nice old coin shooting, congrats! :occasion14:

THAT is a great bunch of hunting!!!!
