Unbelievable CRH find!

Okay, I have not scored much lately but I did manage to trade a couple rolls of silver Washington quarters and four rolls of silver dimes for a sweet Delta lathe. So the lathe and some tools which would retail for about $750 plus tax cost me $40 face. All the silver was gotten coin roll hunting. It was hard to part with the coins, but I really needed a better lathe and could not justify paying with cash from the family funds.

Another reason to CRH....fun money the wife doesn't have a problem with.

Good luck everyone. I've not scored much lately but I'm not out the game yet.

I don't think silver would drop in value, people still make jewelry out of it. Do u think gold and all other precious metals would fall too?? I think there will always be a market for it even with a cashless system. Money is still money even if it's electronic. I hope it never happens, but I don't fear that silver would fall much.

I agree , with gold or silver being money for over a thousand years i dont think we will have a problem any time soon. Besides silver is worth something all over the world.

Actually, when the dollar goes down to worthless or close to it (And I like you belive it shall) silver will be worth a LOT. Because it will still have its intrinsic value. NO matter what system we go to (I think it will be a new denomination, or a new dollar, like Maexico did with the new peso, not a cashless system), people will still give a value to silver and gold. It may take $6 to buy a loaf of bread with the dollar in your pocket right now, but that would mean that silver would be worth $60 an ounce. Just that the $60 is only worth 10 loaves of bread. But that is better than having that $17 (current price of silver) it eh bank, and then you STILL have $17 and the loaf of bread is still $60. Having silver will hedge against that, and BE one of the bartering tools. :-)

Nice trade Obsessed. I traded my $75.00 in $5.00 Silver Certificates for 5 proof sets, 1959, 61, 62, 63 and 64. I saw them for sale on Craigslist and offered my Silver Certificates for them. I never owned any proof sets before. I admire the mirror like Bens in them and the 64 Kennedy.

I agree Obe, we are in for some hard times ahead. A black market will emerge to bypass a lot of this regulation and taxation and barter will become the norm. That is where PM's will still have their place. They have intrinsic value so they will always have some value.
What amazes me how the average fat and happy American can just sit by while these communist destroy the strongest economy in the world in the name of change. As a whole, we wont know what hits us until its too late. Heard a startling statistic yesterday, the government now controls something like 40% of what used to be private industry.

Well that all can be easily changed on the State level. All the States have to do is to say that their employees will not enforce unconstitutional Federal laws,and will prosecute outsiders who attempt to enforce laws that are unconstitutional . They should also tax Federal property within their respective States.
Will this happen? Probably not, but who knows. It certainly won't happen in my State.Too many billionaires, multi-millionaires, and Socialists/Communists/Facists etc.

As long as the TV is on and there is food in the fridge most people will not have a real problem with things going the way they are sadly, also when looking for PM's to invest in do not over look the importance of lead, copper and brass! Armed=citizen, disarmed=subject!
