ummm??? the middle of the desert? what?

While out in the middle of the desert, I came across this, it um, well I just don't know, anyone think they can figure this out, kinda strange to me out there lonely, zip code desert, population skeletal remains, I though glass bottle when I walked by it but something told me to turn around and get a closer look and this is what I picked up, whatever, any thoughts.

I think it is a glass piece you can buy at any craft store. They are used for decoration in all sorts of things. Sorry guys. I have used them. but would be great if it was lightning glass.

I agree with you after seeing it in the light of morning, and not after midnight last night! What I found freaky last night was the black thing and the writing which appeared to be INSIDE the glass!

Ok, even I have a "senior moment" now and then.

Thank you Mamabear, I goggled it glass stone from craft store, I immediately saw it, problem solved, now I need to figure out what it was doing way out there in BFE, well maybe not.

is lightning glass rare? bc i find it somewhat often

I just figured that writing was from whatever it was laying on when the pic was taken, didn't figure it was inside of the glass. I don't think lightning glass is rare it happens every time lightning strikes sand, though in a desert it might be pretty rare I just figured it might have been there for a very long time.
