I thought I had a bad day metal detecting, and perhaps to some I did, but I was excited to find out how old this actually was. I saw "Nitro" on the head stamp and sounded modern to me as well as how it wasn't worn too much. It was deep down for sure.

ca1915-1937 found at an 1890's to early 20th Century town site in a somewhat rural area today, and very rural around the 1930's or shortly prior. https://aussiemetaldetecting.com/shotshell-resources/shotshell-headstamp-database/remington-umc-headstamps/#nitroclub

It's fun to find those older shot shells! There's quite a variety out there...
 

Just found this in my backyard in Chino Hills, San Bernardino, California. I found it by luck as I do not own a metal detector but I will be purchasing one soon. Apparently I have an acre of land I can explore. Lol wish me more luck ;)
