I found this on the beach today about 18" deep. I used to work in a machine shop as a teenager and I assembled aircraft parts. This looks like a blade from an jet engine??? Surely it must be a part off of a boat engine or jet ski?? Why would an aircraft part be on the beach? Its very heavy and a most likely made of stainless steel. I havent cleaned the calcium off of it yet.......but if anybody knows what it is, I'm all ears....???

When you say airplane part to do you mean turbine blade? I think jet skis use a turbine.

Yes, a turbine blade is what it looks like.

My first hunch was that it's the keel from a remote controlled sailboat. I don't know anything about engine turbines so that could very well be it too.

yeah it's possible, there are a lot of different styles out there, both flat and pitched. If you have a boat shop nearby, show it to them and that will either confirm or rule it out. I do see the resemblance to a turbine fin, but I don't know anything about those.....
