found this Sunday out hunting with a friend, any Ideas ?

a large UAS Probably USA with an "H" or an "N" on top of it. The "U" and "S" with a
large "A" in between...
The back has where there was some type of shank or post and you can see where
it was attached and broke off, but no other marking of any kind....

Nice find! Looks like an old one. My quick response would be United States Naval Academy. But I'll look further.

Your button is actually a World War I collar disk. The USNA monogram stands for United States National Army, which was formed by the United States War Department in 1917. It combined both conscript and volunteer forces, including units of the United States National Guard. Since it was essentially a wartime army, it was discontinued in 1920, and the Regular Army was resumed.
