uggly shild nickel,but i will take it! and fri finds.mini balls around here?

Got a late start today ,started driving at 10:30 last nite got my route done around 1pm.So i didnt even start hunting till 3pm.Wasnt expecting to get much as spot i was planing on hitting is a mudy mess.Then to top it off i run into another guy who just hunted it.But i was their so i hit it anyway.After sun set i couldnt even see what targets were.That is when i got the shield nickel.Didn't even know what it was till i got home.I think i found 2 very flat mini balls.Wich would be 1st i ever got in my home county.I was digging every stinking lead signal after i got the 1st one.(keep in mind lead is usually sinkers as i am hunting a river)And got 1 more.And the sheild nickel.My 3rd,and 1st with e-trac.The buckles are a pair i think.They were near each other and are made by same place."prov. RI""p or r auf.co" not sure of age or use.black think looks like stone but rings up as metal and has "scc" with arrow threw it on one side.It appears to have broken off a bolt in center.No idea what it is.Also got some kind of tag that says north pa on bottom and has name on top i can't make out.And round thing appears to be end of a spy glass.Also got my wheat penny for the day.Eyeballed one yesterday walking over to resteraunt from hotel.I am hoping i can find more mini balls.So far all i got is one possible ball from a buck and ball and some melted lead.

That nickel is toasted... But as you stated I would take it. At least you got out and dug some old stuff. Should be more in the area!!!

if you take a sos pad to the sheild nickel, I bet you'd be surprised to the details you can still see. I found em worse than that, and after using sos pad on them under running water, I was amazed how good they looked
