U.S. hat pin??

Anybody narrow down a date and use for this guy? Found in western Pa. at a torn down house lot. The back piece screws off and it all comes apart.

Cool cant Id it but really good find. I found a Hat pin WW2 in the woods in A2 Mich no idea how it could have ended up there thats why I love the hobby mine was much different than yours. Well done Tommy

It's a collar disc for the Army

Lapel pin for the US Army... Brass. I remember them well... a pain to shine up perfectly for inspection. I still have a hatred for Brasso.

The pin part appears to be different from when I was in. So my guess is mid 20th century.
