I think what you have there is a US lapel button....worn on collar during WW2.....I have found some and I have one that I think was my grandpa's in the war.......way to go......hope you find lots more good stuff......see ya later :icon_thumright:

The chart Eddie Lomax helpfully posted shows US insignia of the World War 1 era. (Note that the chart is dated October 1917.)

But the insignias tended to change, at least somewhat, by the time of World War 2. For example, the simple two-letters US insignia discwas given a period after each letter. Donj, your disc appears to have the periods after the letters, so it is WW2 era or later.
