No banner finds here, just some of the more typical finds we see down here in SC at some colonial sites. Pipe stem, two copper flat buttons and pottery shards. My first year of detecting was helpful in realizing that most old homesteads had a spot where they'd dump trash. Broken brick, oyster shells and pottery shards are a good giveaway you may be close to the spot. No GW buttons here but still a couple neat relics for the display. The thrill of roundness in the hole is what keeps us coming back!

All the right signs and at least you dug some relics! My last hunt was about the same, nothing great but targets to dig and the hope something cool pops out the dirt!

Nothing like digging in a colonial pit. Hope to be doing my annual 1600s pit dig soon.

Just pulling things that reinforce the fact that you're on a colonial site is awesome. You never know what is going to come out of the dirt next

Nice FAT MUDDY BUTTON, dirt surgery!!!
