Two US Buckles

Technically speaking these are not today's finds. However, I saw them for the first time this past Saturday. They were found by my brothers in Md. a while back. The one has an E. Gaylord backmark on it. And, yes , they wre dug.

Those are nice. Must have been dug a long time ago.

They were dug in the mid 70s.

REALLY NICE PLATES...especially the top plate only plate I've found is a plain faced 1830's militia buckle. I've Never found a Civil War plate...so tell your brothers CONGRATS!

My brother told me the the two buckles were found in Maryland. The Gaylord one was found at Smoketown hospital (Antietam) and the other was found near Maryland heights.
