The indian Head cap might of have a glass thermometer in it at least that is what someone told me but they just don't remember for what ,lol Help, help please

Hey Rob, your 1926 Pontiac Chieftain radiator cap (Indian Head) appears to have been modified at one time. They originally looked like this. Not sure what the "winged god" emblem went to. Happy hunting, Sub 8-)pontiac.jpg

Great Job , so now I know about one of them . The art deco one is from 1928 Essex ,it is called The Winged Goddess . Thanks

I don't think this one was modify , if you look under it shows that the hole was part of the cap .I was told that temperature gage was in there , so I guess you could be right about the Pontiac but not the year this one might be older .I'm showing the photo from under

I'm going with the modified Pontiac cap as well. A machinist could easily have modified it to look like that.

I can go with that , the temperature gage could of been placed there I guess and the head looks just like the Pontiac after close examination .Thanks to all for replying
