I was so excited to find a 1919 Franc on the top of my hill, I ate a quick lunch and pressed on, found two more spoons for my spoon pile. Plated but always feels nice to find one I guess. One was sticking out of the ground, acting awfully happy I wasn't a 6 bottom plow. Any input as to what the patterns are I'd be thrilled to know. Hoping the weather holds....man it'd be nice to hunt on Christmas this year...its rare to not have the ground rather locked up in southern Mich at the end of December.

Not as good as my Four Fork Friday....lol

No seriously, good to see them complete, in the fields I hunt they come out bent or broken.

Keep digging them spoons!

The spoon on the left is the 1935 “Lady Esther/Queen Esther” Silver Plate pattern.

The one on the right is a minor variation on the 1904 pattern known as “Rex”, designed by Roy L. Danks and Max L. Baker, originally produced as “Regal Pure Silver Plate”. You can see some minor differences in the comparison below:

It’s not unusual to see these kinds of variations in style on patterns that were produced over long periods of time. This was a long-lived, popular pattern; your spoon is probably some years later than the original 1904 design and might well be vintage rather than antique. I think the pattern (with these variations) was still being produced by Wallace in the 1970s.

Maybe the maker marks on the back will help narrow it down.
