I went to the fairgrounds again for the first time in a few weeks. After hunting for about an hour I found a 1942 D winged liberty dime! I knew it was silver while it was still in the hole. There is no mistaking that appearance. I went and got a drink out of the car (it was 95 degrees). Then I went back to the general area where I found the first silver and got another signal. I started digging and saw that characteristic silver reeded edge. Pulled it out and it was a 1960 Roosevelt dime! Score!! I also found a wheat penny. I had to quit shortly after that though cause its so dang hot.

Chaaaa Chiiiiiiiiiing Gotta Love that silver.......go for more

I have found a total of three silver dimes at that site so far. This is in addition to a bunch of clad. I know there is more. Problem is, I only have access to the inner area where the silver is on Friday afternoons when the gates are open. Actually tomorrow I think they will be open too, but they aren't always open on Saturdays.
