Today's hunt produced 2 silver coins from the 1950's & 1960's. What made today even better were the 3 unusual relics I dug up. The first one
was an old brass padlock from the Eagle Lock Company, the 2nd one was a 20 mm Shell Casing, we used to call these "20 Mike Mike" when I was in
the army. The 3rd item is a old brass plate that says "Atwater Kent Radio". I believe it was once attached to the front of one of those old
1930's - 1940's era radios? Also dug up 15 wheat pennies and a little over $ 10.00 in clad. I'm still hunting the same area and it's still producing!

That 20mm shell is pretty cool.... It's a WW2 US Navy round for the Orlikon Cannon and was made by the Florence Stove Company in Kankakee Il.

great finds, the silver is awesome and the lock and Kent plate cleaned up great!

good job!

That's a killer lock.

Congrats on locating and digging all those targets. :occasion14: 177 targets if my count is right. Man I bet your hands are sore from digging all those plugs. After I dig that many plugs my right hand would be useless the following morning. Those are some cool relics and will display nicely.

I just noticed that the shell casing has a date on the bottom! It says 1942! Thanks for the info!

Great spot - Always fun when you dig that many targets!!!

After a little research I found the radio where the Atwater Kent Radio brass emblem would have been mounted. It was on top of the Atwater Kent Radio Model #55, it was manufactured in 1929!

Nice finds. Every time I see your handle I have to wonder if your last name is Fluke? My wifes maiden name is Fluke.

Hi CHF. Thanks for the reply and comment...yes I actually did find the whole thing less the wood box but only kept the front part...it was a giant 30-MIN hole...the rest went into the scrap metal garden. HH C9
