The item with the chevron looking symbol is 7/8" dia. x 1" tall and hollow with strong sidewalls. Military item? The round screw cap thing has the three small holes that probably released pressure, but what was it used on? Military use? 2" across, 1 3/8" tall, and treads are 1 1/2" across. Weighs 3 oz. Both are either brass or copper and the dome below the treads is possibly bronze.

Charles, you may right but I can't remember ever seeing a design on a pipe cap. I've found two of things over the last few weeks during our time in Panama City, FL. Thanks for the input.

I've been racking my brain since this was posted. I've seen that logo/design before, but for the life of me I just can't remember where/what.......Driving me insane!

Neither of the chevron end caps objects I've found have anything glued or attached to the inside sidewalls. The one pictured has what seems to be an extremely tightly pack substance inside of it, but not dissimilar to very tightly packed sand that has nearly turned to sandstone. A few other hollow objects I've found at the same area very close to a saltwater beach have also had the same internal substance which in all probability is beach sand mixed with salt that has solidified. The other one of these objects only had dirt inside. Thanks for the input.

Mike, I also seem to recall seeing the symbol before. Thank you for your service and input.

I also considered that it might have been a vintage lipstick cap but like Charles said, the diameter is just too large. Also, the sidewall thickness and strength most likely eliminates the possibility that it could have been used for some other type of cosmetic though many vintage objects were robustly made. Thanks for the input.

Still looks like a copper tube pressure cap!
What is inside diameter?

Unfortunately both of these objects were bent at the open side. Even the closed ends are out of round. The one pictured has an .936" x .910" o.d.. The sidewall is strong but thinner than any solder butt cap I've seen. The i.d. wouldn't be too much different than the o.d. The length is .879". Have you ever seen a copper solder cap with a convex design? Thanks for the input.
