I got out of my midterm today around 5 and went up to rockland county to an old abandoned spot that I have been going to for over a year.
Within the first 20 minutes or so I got a real bouncy signal at 5 inches and found two rosies 1956 and 57 and two wheaties 42 and 44 not a bad start
kept going and found another wheatie 1940 and yet another wheatie 1955 d, i was saying to myself hey atleast i got two silvers
then i got a hit that was all over the place jumping from slver quarter to junk and it was in a large area couldnt pin point it..i figured it was garbage and then possibly another silver dime near it. so i dug a bigger than normal hole and..... saw silver!
1920 merc real worn 1939 merc and 1949 quarter. the two nickels are 1951 and 1949 and the oldest of the wheaties is 1917.all in one hole!
they all have the tell tale green from being sandwiched together for so many years.
twenty minutes after that it started raining and i had to call it a day.. 5 silvers in one hour not bad!
