Hey everyone:

I've got two more for the files............

1) Small Copper Vase / Bottle shaped piece.......shallow hollowed base......weight of 19.1 grams pretty heavy for such a small piece. I'm posting a few different pics for viewing and identification purposes....

2) ??? this item seems to be made of lead or something soft like it. Perhaps even with a ceramic inside wrapped in a soft metal of some kind.....what ever is, it's non-magnetic and the tab area doesn't appear to be holed. It appears to have some sort of design within the boarder...a ray of the sun or a leaf design can't tell for sure. I doesn't appear to have any kind of markings on the reverse. I wish what ever it was, was intact. :'( as you can see it just a little bigger in diameter than a quarter.

As always your thoughts and comments are welcomed!!!1

Sample vial of expensive perfume? Does the top come off? Maybe it contains gold dust and was worn as an amulet around the miner's neck?? ?? ??

Kia Ora, Hi psgen,
Awesome finds, Well done.
Item 1. My first thought is, a Charm - as in Charm Bracelet. It looks like copper but with inclusions. Am I imagining these things I've circled ( squared ;D ) ? They look like shaped gemstones.
Item 2. My first thought, a religious pendant, dare I say :-X - cheap metal :o buried for a while, attracted other minerals, grown and got brittle.

Hey everyone:

In answer to a few of the questions out there

Does the top come off? no it's solid with the exception of a very small and shallow opening on the base (Picture #3) sorry it's so blurry.......will try again for a better view.....

They look like shaped gemstones Picture #1 can be a bit deceiving as it is an extreme close up........ This item is actually just about the size of a nickel (picture #2) with a thickness of 4 quarters (stacked) picture attached.........gems would be almost a chip or dust......I think it's just a pot mark :'( I do like the idea of gemstones ;D

First thing that comes to mind on the little "vase" is that it is a squished "Put and Take" top from the 1920's.

Maybe a squished Dreidel?

Looks like a crushed bullet to me also. The base is where the once round end was while the top has been crushed or chewed. Back in the 50s Remington made some large caliber lead bullets with a thin copper wash and called them "Copper Clad". (Just a guess). The other one looks like the top half of a charm or amulet.

I looked at it some more and I now don't think it's a bullet. Base too small and too much bulk out in front. I give up for now. Monty
