Looks like you had a decent hunt!

Nice finds ! :occasion14:

Me and my two boys went out today and wow it was cold the high of 34 and wind chill was 25 and my face is chapped but worth the two dimes alone

Nice job on the Mercs. The bird band you found seems to be a pigeon band. On the side we cant see, you may see the letters AU which stands Amitaeur Pigeon Union. There will be a 2 digit number next to that, which is the year the bird was banded. The 7247 is the birds individual serial registration #. There could also be another 2 or 3 letter code which would stand for a club if the owner belonged to one. The band seems to be from the 1980's because it is metal coated by plastic. In the 1990's they went to all plastic so we wont find any from that era on. 1970's & earlier were all metal.

Nice .thanks I have a cousin that raises pigeon so I will show him and repost the other side with the letters

Very nice collection of goodies! Cool round ball finds. :occasion14:

Congrats on being able to get out and dirt fish in January. :occasion14: You dug a nice assortment of finds and those mercs put you way ahead of me on silver coins for 2016.

Can't help you on the ball but I love the silver.

The .45" caliber longrifle rifled muzzleloader originated in the United States to which it has a very rich history as it was used to help settle the United States east of the missouri river.
