TWO items - Shoe buckle piece? and CW bullet or deer slug? -BOTH solved!!!

I dug these at lunch at a house built in 1800.

1) Is the one piece part of a Colonial shoe buckle or just a hair related item?
It has a bit of decoration on it.

2) The other one is a lead bullet, but not sure if it's a CW bullet or just a deer slug. Looks old, but who knows?

The slug looks like a shotgun slug to me. I would wager a guess as to 16ga. Those who have real knowledge will answer soon though, I'm sure.

Slug is post CW but it's old (circa 1900) due to prescence of white patina. Not sure of iron piece but I'm not aware of iron anything being used in hair ever. It appears the "teeth" would have fitted into a leather belt, girtrh strap, or who knows what. You find the most unusual relics but I like them. HH, Quindy.

Slug is post CW but it's old (circa 1900) due to prescence of white patina. Not sure of iron piece but I'm not aware of iron anything being used in hair ever. Looks like part of a stock buckle, so 18th/early 19th c.
