Two items from today? any idea?

Any idea what either of these are? Not sure what the first one is. The guy i was detecting with thought maybe the second was a shoe buckle and then a local guy walked out to the field and said he thought it was a hessian military shoe buckle. However none of the pictures of shoe buckles online look very similar. any ideas?

You don't have any reference for size, so if it's the right size I agree with Happycamper, it's a bridal rosette.
