Despite snow a ground is still not frozen, so I used that possibility_ probably the last one_ and winter will come finally.

Not much stuff today:

1 pfennig coins from 1880s-1910s are common here in Bavaria_ but this one is in beautiful state- with nice emerald-colored patina

Re: Two hours under snow.

Your finds are great! You make it sound so easy to find 1800 coins!

Glad you got to go out!!!

Congrats on your great finds. I can't believe how many 1800 coins you find over there. Way to go.

On average 1 coin before 1900 in 1 hour. But ground here is very reactive (acid) and kills coins very fast, especially when combined with chemical fertilizers farmers put on the fields :'(

Only silver coins survive quite good, but they are very rare finds. Anyway I like old stuff and every find which is not pulltab is nice.

Here is usual state of such green coin if I remove patina (that is why I try to avoid any cleaning)

Great stuff Sand. I know what you are talking about. This soil loves to eat coins. :'( The good thing is ,coins are fairly easy to find ;D

Just geting out this time of year is good enough for me.
some nice finds there.

Excellent!

What is the object at the far right? Looks like it could be a hammered coin?

It's 63? F and sunny here- I wish I were out detecting. Might go tomorrow.

It is lead seal with "Rentamt; dichte ...ls" on it. It means something like "Pension department; impermeable ..."
