I decided to work the small lawn in front of the Church,
all I managed was this Button.
the Back is too Rusty to tell if it's marked.

Any Ideas ?

I'm Familiar with FIRESTONE Tires,
But I have no Idea What this Aluminum Thing is.
It's about the same size as a Match Pack.

Great finds. This grove keeps producing.

I think the Firestone thing is a airline holder that mounts on an airtank.
I think the bottom turned up part is now overbent touching the main body.
If it was spread a bit, an airline fits in rather nicely, keeping it off the ground.???
Smiles!

...if you didn't know (which is unlikely), soldiers used to chew there bullets to relieve stress or help with thirst...

Great finds

OHHH! What a tease! :D

Starting off with the clad and then FINALLY posting the good stuff! 8)

:o I know you were smiling over those finds! I woulda been too!

You had a GREAT hunt today!

Congrats!

Nana ;)

Thanks Everyone for Looking.

Digginman the Button is just a Cheapie
Coat Button. But I like the Design also.

BDoo Thanks. that makes sense. and the bottom is slightly crimped.

GC Yea I'm aware of the Practice.
The area I'm searching has had small French & Indian war Skirmishes, Between the Indians & the Troops from the Nearby Forts,
however The Musket Ball isn't white, it's more of a Light tan (the photo color is Misleading).
I sure it was Chewed though. but at what time I Don't Know.

Badger You'r absolutely Right.
Both came up way below Nickel Even lower then Buffalo
on the meter.
That's why they make me Smile, Because I'm expecting to be Cleaning another piece of trash up, Not seeing a Coin.

Burdie
Fill Your Tank Quick & get down here ;) ;D

Great digs. In 10 years, I have only found one V Nickle. You got two in one trip!! WTG. I am so jealous!!

Now I need some Decent Rain, But no sign of any for the next Week.

When i can get across the Road, I Hopeing to Hit the Seateds, & Earlier.

Wow, you certainly found some old stuff today, nice nickels. I like how you draw us in with your post saving the best for last. OH, and by the way, how much rain would you like we have had more than enough and the last two nights I have been chased away from fishing by thunderstorms and high winds. We need a short break, come get all you want. :D

You have a nice selection on coins and relics from that grove.....Nice going!

Nice finds! The button with the coat of arms is hard to ID without any makers marks, most European countries use those lions on their arms. HH, Mike
