Went out for my second hunt this year, for about two hours, to another pounded park. After being there for about 50 min, had a light reading that bounced between silver dime, penny and junk. I dug to 10" and found a piece of steel rusted wire in the dirt, but I went over the dirt pile one more time before covering it up and got a strong silver dime reading. I found a roundish shaped piece of dirt that after handling it for a few seconds, showed a silver reeded edge. This place is where I found my 1853 quarter in 2008, so I was excited, and put it in my back pocket until I got home. After I washed it at home, I found out it was a 1944S merc in good shape! Also found a 1937 buffalo nickel and a new penny. Thanks for looking! HH!

Good payoff on digging that iffy signal and getting the merc, nice Buffalo too

nice digg'n Hunter! I have the itch so bad to get out there, but 10" of snow and sub zero temps only
allows me to keep researching! Thanks for posting your finds! :headbang:
