Any help on the ring maker would be appreciated.
Snakes or dragons? Meaning.
F.N.M. and a g and other symbols.
I found this ring last year not far from the notes in the bottles.

Very cool! A better closeup of the symbols would be nice.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nāga

The mythological serpent race that took form as cobras often can be found in Hindu iconography. The nāgas are described as the powerful, splendid, wonderful and proud semidivine race that can assume their physical form either as human, partial human-serpent or the whole serpent. Their domain is in the enchanted underworld, the underground realm filled with gems, gold and other earthly treasures called Naga-loka or Patala-loka. They are also often associated with bodies of waters — including rivers, lakes, seas, and wells — and are guardians of treasure.

Those marks are jeweler marks. F.N.M is the maker The other marks I still can't make out. the last one might be a "9" indicating year made. Still can't make out 2 middle symbols. The best pic can't be enlarged when I click on it???

I think I have solved part of the puzzle. I can find no reference to the maker's initials. the second mark is country of origin, Ireland. the 3rd mark is city of Dublin and / or purity stamp. https://www.925-1000.com/british_marks.html https://www.claddaghrings.com/irish-hallmark-stamp/ & https://weldons.ie/irish-silver-hallmarks-date-letters/. I don't find a reference to the "g". I would suggest you take it to a jeweler that has a book that identifies marks. Post your results cause i'm really interested in what the marks mean myself and how close I am.

Great advice from Sam.
It looks to be a modern ring, likely around 20 - 30 years old.

Nice find,
Dave

roger you see it better than i do,this looks close
weird if made in Ireland, no snakes in Ireland
1922

Then I was right about the marks indicating Dublin, Ireland and purity mark. Now to figure out the date mark. The marks on the ring don't match up with the second webpage. I know that ring wasn't made in 1669-73 although the "g" is right, it's missing the purity mark. That date stamp is THE mystery. Although the trademark was issued in 1997.

Just to recap...The first mark is the maker's mark,F.N.M (Frank N. Maher) (( Hats off to cw0909)) The second mark is country of origin-Hibernia (Ireland). The 3rd mark is a crowned harp used in Dublin for purity .925. The forth mark "g" remains a mystery. It is a date mark for sure, but what date. The ring itself is 2 dragon heads, revered by the Celtics. "They act as guardians of wisdom and knowledge, possessing great vision and the power of prophecy. Dragons united the earth and sky, and guarded treasures and the gates to other worlds." https://www.astrologyoftheancients.com/celtic-dragon-animal-meaning/
