Two Half Dollars, With Holes???

Pictures would be nice and helpul. Are you sure they are Half Dollars and not big washers? Maybe someone used them as a decoration or jewelry.

Keep @ it and HH!!

I have used coins to make washers in my workshop. I'm pretty sure I've done it with halves too. Not silver ones though! Usually use a quarter or a penny for the sizes I need. Any marks on them like they were used for washers?

Hate to date myself but Believe it or not when I was a kid I would mow your whole lawn for just one of these.

Tried twice to post a photo. Guess my camera is to high test for the website.
One of the halves is a 61 the other is a 58. Too many KBs I'm going to have to figure out how to reduce the resolution etc and try again.... sorry.

Can't say as how I have needed a washer so bad that I would drill a coin bigger than a penny.
Say Guys befor you go and drill any pennies think about this... a solid copper penny (pre1982)
Is worth as much as 8 cents. I know you can't salvage them but collectors will pay as much as that for loose wheat cents in good shape. You have to have a lot of them but a couple thousand wheaties could make a fair trip to the icecream shop with a grand baby.

Try this OD, If you have phot shop, open your picture in photo shop, click the fix button, fix photo window, select crop. Resize the photo and save. If it is still to large, open the saved photo in microsoft paint. Click 'image" and select stretch/skew, change the horizontal and vertical size to 75% OR 50% and save the image. Your picture should then be small enough to be posted. GL
