Went out on my dirt bike yesterday to do some recon in the Sierra forests looking for a good place to swing. Came across an old decommissioned campground, so I headed out there this afternoon after chores. It looks like it must have been closed in the early 70's by the looks of what I was finding. Found a couple of wheaties, so I knew I was on the right track. Then I get this solid 95 on the Simplex, which is usually the number for the end of an aluminum can. I could hardly believe it when a 44 walking half emerged!
Then, only 7-8 feet away, another!
The wheats are a '44, '50 and a '53.

And what a beautiful place to hunt.

The snow flowers are just starting to emerge in the forest.
