this gold ring was just about left for someone else,i knew it was a iffy target so I went on to dig it, I check again the signal was gone ,the pin pointer didn't find at first,it was maybe 9 inches I was going to fill in the hole.and thinking what the heck pushed the pin pointer back in the hole and got signal .and dug again to see the gold ring .wow almost lost that one due to not going deeper..it says purdue university 1989 also says bseet that means bachelor of science in electrical engineering tech..lots of college. the other piece is old not sure has letters on the bottom but nice gold piece ,the key thing says m.w &co.im cleaning a huge token ill post it soon..

A couple real nice rings ! knowing me I would of filled the hole in and let it go. Come to think of it I've done that, I probably left something nice in the ground. A good lesson in your post.

Great job, I never give up until the beeping stops, and I always get my rusty nail!

Very nice golden finds there, that second find is a rather odd looking item I wonder what it is supposed to be depicting?

its got writing on the bottom trying to read im sure its used to stamp on paper or something

Great finds..!....thanks for encouraging me to keep digging till the beeping stops!

Too bad that it says Purdue, that lowers the value to half of melt. :laughing7:

Very nice finds, good work!

Really nice finds. Gotta' love that gold in the hole!!

Nice boilermaker ring.. dh has one exactly like it! surprised it doesn't have initials... it was free to add them.......easy to trace the owner of that one of it did... should u choose to do so

yes it has his initials inside im looking for him ...hope it goes well

M W & Co. is Mallory Wheeler & Co. Lock maker started around 1835 and went bankrupt in 1913. So even if your key was the last one ever made....it's still over 100 :)

yes thanks for that im hunting a small town area in a field next to the railroad

now aren't you glad? makes me wonder how many I quit on too soon. congrats

Nice digs and thanks for the pics
