Two Confederate I buttons

Went to a new spot today. Found two confederate I buttons (A first for me) and a couple bullets. We will be back. Thanks for looking.

Nice! Are they cast brass "I"'s or two pieces buttons?

They are two pc. I dont know much about them but will research. We also found a good bit of camp lead. The picture is not much but I will post a new one when I get a chance. One button is damaged but the other one is in good shape.
