I went threw the first Box and it was a Skunk.
I went threw all 180 worth not any silver but I did find a Error Half.
It has A Big Bubble on it on the front and back in different places.
its not like it was Hit and Made a dent in it.
Its like there was a Imperfection in the metal before stamping.
On the reverse/obverse the places behind the bubbles theres is no alteration.
It baffled me. Has anyone found a coin like that?
Im going to try to take pics.
Then I went threw the second box and Found 6 Walking Liberty's and a lone 40% Gotta Love that Ratio.
They were all Different Dates other then 2. :) 1934, 1936 , 2 x 1941 , 1942 , 1943
After Dumping I Went and Picked up a oz silver round I got a 2000 american eagle for .30 cents over spot and silver was Way down today.

How odd, I found something odd like that last saturday. Bubble or bulge on both sides (if I remember) and one has a pin hole in it. I threw it in my junk box to check it out later. I will try and scan it tonight and post on this thread, can you do the same with yours?

I've found the "bubbled coins" several times.

Most are discolored, showing signs of being heated. I think someone at one point put them under a torch and heated them, which caused the inner core to liquidify and cause bubbles on the outer layers.

My two cents.....

coincollector, I fineally was able to find time to scan the bubble/bulge coin I found. The first two shots show a bulge on the front and three bubbles on the back. One has a hole. As you can see no trace of someone trying to melt it. It also looks like the back is several degrees out of rotation. I made sure they were both shot with JFK at the same angle.

Here is a closeup of the back. The bumps have been flattened. Looks like a machine did it, probably from going through many counters and rolling machines during it's 33 year life.

I showed mine to a dealer,
He said mine was more then likley in a fire.
The Whole Head has a Big Buldge on mine.
I have no clue what yours is, Probley your Theory in 33 years.
