I found the first arrowhead laying on the ground while awalking on a ridge by a creek, and then the second one nearby while MDing. The funny thing is, that second arrowhead was in the ground but above the metal plow piece I dug up. The colors are nice and almost like it was painted or dyed.
The infamous Rhyolite, I congratulate you on your first finds, well done. I have many different colours of Rhyolite but your second point is different, I've not seen those two colours mixed, very nice. I'm always delighted to find points, but finding points that are two shades is a plus. It's difficult to type the first point, due to the base missing, it sure is well used too. Your second point could be an Halifax, really depends where you found it.
Again Congrats, Good Luck Hunting, Hope you find more for us to see. btw, Welcome !!!
The first one I would say is a blade or scraper, not an actual point. The point in the second pic appears to me to be of a woodland variety. The reason it was found closer to the surface is probably do to deep plowing sometime in the past bringing it closer to the top. Very nice finds indeed
