Today while searching erosion patches around a freshwater glacial kettle hole I found two points close to each other. Interesting to see the same material used for two different styles. These will be donated to the regional Indian Museum where my Native finds end up.

I was swinging and tromping around in the woods for over 8 hrs. today. This nearly 65 year old man outdid a freshly-charged Manticore battery and had to break out the backup power module. But I am shot. Hitting the field tomorrow for another all day hunt. I think tomorrow I am going for 1900's silver coinage from old camping areas.

I'm usually searching for colonial artifacts first and foremost. It's tough going trying to find their materials in rural farm settings. I will see the occasional crusty forged nail or lead blob, but it takes days of swinging to pull up a 1700's coin. I can't complain as two weeks ago I found a nice 1730's KGII HP. But I feel one is now due.

Last year I told a local Indian Chief that I often find his ancestors when I am looking for mine. That speaks volumes, historically so.

What a great assortment! Good on you for donating to the regional Indian Museum. Know what you mean about spending a day swinging when your >= 65. Good to spend the next day either cleaning/IDing/preserving the previous day's finds or going to a less challenging site. If you do the later, stretch before you start swinging. Your muscles will thank you later. Good luck!

You are doing very well keep up the good digging ?
