This is several pics of what I call Turtle rocks. They are found in central and N central Kansas. The are usually 1/2 round stones, with multiple rocks in it. They can break easily. These little rocks are in rows with a small divider separating the rows. I would like to know what they are because I'm sure turtle rock isn't actually what it is.

Looks like a carbonate-based concretion of multiple minerals. The white crystals are likely Calcite.

I could be wrong but it appears that the rocks and stones were from a breakup of the parent rocks and stones which ended up deposited in a low spot. The low spot was them filled with mud that filled the recesses between the rocks and stones and then it fossilized creating what appears similar to a concretion. I have found many a concretion in streams and while digging and this piece just isn't the same.
