Howdy all.
Spent a few hours at a local elementary school today. Wasn't expecting too much and didn't find a whole lot other than 70 cents in various clad denominations + this ring which was somewhat squashed. Inner inscription is "STER" along with some sort of maker signature, so I'm thinking at least I found some non-coin silver. The first pic is truer to actual color. Second one is after I rubbed a bit of oil on the green stone.
Not too far from this place I scouted another future location, based on some on-line tools that allow one to look at 1937 aerial survey photography and compare to the present. The spot I'm interested in is now in the woods, but was in 1937 part of a group of buildings. The current spot looks like a rectangle cut into a small hill, about 20' x 10' so maybe a cellar of some sort? Any tips on how to explore this would be appreciated!
Happy Hunting to all!

I don't think it's turquoise - more like a green stone w/ some banding/striping in it.
