Check it out...click on photo in article to enlarge and read article. I was standing on this racetrack today. It's still there. Very fascinating place. Lots of old bottles and fragments, foundations...only problem is it must have been detected A LOT. Put it this way, there were a couple of other guys there detecting and I said "read the article, huh" and they said yes, but you can figure it's been detected over and over for decades. I found zilch...one old buckle, but no coins. Go figure. Check out old survey map found by Earthworks too. You can really see it on Google Earth. (It's a cool site for the history anyway...)

Hey Bergie, looks like a great hunting ground, even if it's been hunted to death. No place is EVER truly hunted out. Besides, old bottles are a good score in and of themselves. Don't give up on it yet. Good luck, and HH!

Seems like a great site even if it has been worked over. Check along any hedge lines and those places that may be over grown a bit. Good luck and HH, Mike

It surely is worth a shot. You know it had activity and money changing hands. I have an old racetrack near me and has also yielded zilch but theres always that chance. If you can figure out where the grandstands, vendors, or betting booths ;) you might do well. Good luck my friend!!!!!!
